Brasilia

When I think of Brazil, the second image that comes to mind is the glorious Christ the Redeemer statue in Sao Paulo (the first, of course, is thongs).

Brazil earned my pick for the land we should study for the future of everything. Long-time readers know why. Given that, it seems necessary that I begin studying the larger cities of Brazil and see how they rank in my Great Leveling algorithm for cities. These numbers are based on the present. Thus, I expect the Brazilian cities to do acceptable, though not great.

That will come, I am sure. First up, Brasilia, the nation's capital. And, yes, just as Washington, DC is low on the fun level compared to other American cities, so I am confident that Brasilia is not where I want to go to celebrate Carnivale.

On to the rankings...
