iAd

Everybody all up in Apple's bidness over their acquisition of Siri, which doubtless you don't ever use. In the smartphone wars, there are plans within plans. Do not forget. Apple doesn't need to be in search. There is no money in search.  The money is in the advertising! That's why a good search engine, like Bing, would *pay* Apple for the privilege of getting on the iPhone.

The real money, in advertising, will soon be the real money -- in mobile advertising. Because, the smartphone is rapidly becoming the primary port of entry to the web. That's why Google created and *gave away* Android. And it's why I have such a high opinion of iAd.
