iTunes/App Store + Ping

[11 November 2010; updated following integration of iTunes' Ping with Twitter]

A great app is free but I have to pay $1.29 for a Justin Timberlake song! What is wrong with this world! But give Apple credit. Just like McDonald's taught us to clean up after ourselves, something mom couldn't get us to do, Apple taught us to pay for individual songs.

What's their future? The numbers do not lie! And as it turns out, the numbers boost they get from the App Store guarantees a thriving, prosperous future for iTunes. I ran a preliminary set of numbers using just iTunes and they made it into  the "Survive" category only.
