Yelp

Updated 17 March 2010: There have been multiple reliable reports that at least some sales staff with Yelp have been engaging in non-trustworthy behavior. Specifically, if a local business doesn't agree to buy ad space with Yelp, then Yelp will retaliate by removing some/all of that business's positive reviews.

If this is true, I will not use Yelp and will encourage others to do the same. *If* this turns out to be true.

Can my rankings account for this? Maybe. Values is one of the core factors, as is Ecosystem. Both of those will be dinged for non-trusted interactions. Will these two alone be predictive of the failure of a technology or service?

All my ratings are here for all to see, so that question can always be answered.
